anyone have this or knows how this work?

I bought a netgear wireless adapter so I can stream through netflix but i can't get the damn thing to work. I have a sony bluray player btw

honestly i dont know but i could imagine it would be something along the lines of a

"network/internet settings" -> wired/wireless(prob wired since most dont have built in wifi) -> then a series of auto or custon options

This is what i remember from my ps3. couldnt imagine they'd change it much

most of the time the Wireless adapters are proprietary to the player, which one did you buy?

Haven't seen a blu ray player that runs Netfilx as of yet (other than a PS3). Not sure why any blu-ray player will need wireless either. I can see it having a LAN line connection for firmware updates but Wireless seems a bit overkill.

Yea i did the network settings/ wireless lan I have the netgear universal wireless adapter, i had it communicated with my wireless lan but for some reason the blu ray won't pick it up. any other clue?

What manufacturer and model boob ray player

It's a SONY network bluray player BDP - S470, I did the settings on the bluray, it says connected but when i tried to use netflix, it says not connected.

Hmmmm. I'm thinking it's probably a configuration setting how far do you live from F-burg.

like James said. You prob need a specific wifi adapter for that player. the universal one is prob causing the problems.

zach I was thinking the same, but this is netgear universal and it should work with any player at least thats what the manufacturer is saying.
