| Ok all, I'm floating the idea of a camping trip to West Virginia, why not combine it with some outdoor activities for those that are interested.Cheat River Outfitters for Rafting and other adventures.Mapquest shows a drive time of 3hrs 30min from my house, 4 hrs from Tyson's Corner. Rafting opens in March (freeze yer yarbles off weather) or we can plan for sometime after the OC car show in June. Let me know how many would be interested and some kind of idea when, no real plans will develop until after the Cancer fundraiser/meet. |

| Well there is a decent but cheap motel 3 miles away. I may cheat and stay at Mom & Dad's house, it is 5 min away The motel is used to dealing with the rafting crowd. Country kitchen restaurant in the parking lot FTW! Being that this is in/near to my hometown, I can probably swing some discounts. |

Wait, never gone camping before? EVER? I wish all you guys had 4 wheelers, Corey's family has huge property that I've been camping on, but there's not a lot to do except go 4 wheeling and shoot my guns. It's a good idea, but thats a lot of cash for me. |

| For those who would like, I do know all the twisty/turny mountain roads in the area like the back of my hand, care to go for a drive?
There is a nice 10-15 mile drive up the river road, then run up and down a real twisty section of Rt 50, afterwards we can hit up my uncle's roadside tourist trap for dinner.
Just thoughts for things to do while we are there. |
