vBulletin can run off a mobile app for smart phones --- Its a extra license but runs right off the vBulletin website.
Support is a extra cost as well. You can just get the regular basic license but it doesnt come with support (tech issues) so again... extra cost - extra license.

Once we figure out the licenses - I will get with you sometime over a weekend and we can migrate it together. It will take a little. but should be able to migrate it over a saturday & let Paul and Trish set it up throughout sunday.... By monday - I would think we would be up and running.

And Paul and Trish are busy enough as it is, I have taken responsibility of building the new forum. If you would like to still work on the website that would be great! I can pretty much figure out how to put the forum together while customizing the layout I just need some guidance on migrating user data over from forumotion.

well migration of the forum without knowing exactly the exact details of your setup now and the fine print of the vBulletin license - I would say your best bet is to call vBulletin up and ask what is involved for migrating. I don't know enough about vBulletin ... I can migrate servers, databases, sqls. etc. but this is a whole new topic. I can figure it out but again... I don't know enough about the 2 systems.

call vbulletin? thats what google is for man lol I found a couple scripts that will do the job just trying to figure out if forumotion will release me a copy of our current database.

welp....bad news. forumotion will NOT hand out the database as written in their terms of use they actually own it. we will have to start from scratch on the new vbulletin forum.
